COVID-19 RESPONSE

 

 

 

Steve Padgett’s Danville Honda Statement Regarding the Corona Virus:

As a government listed essential business, we are taking extraordinary measures to protect teammates, our customers, and our communities from the spread of this disease.

Below is a list of the measures we are taking to keep our Honda dealership clean and safe for everyone to work in and enjoy during this exceptionally challenging time.

• We are using the strongest CDC recommended disinfectants for cleaning that eliminate the opportunity for the coronavirus to be spread or activated.
   
• We are maximizing our efforts to prevent the virus from entering a dealership to ensure that every interaction at our dealership is risk-free. These actions include the following:
  • Clean and sanitize customer touchpoints after each interaction.
  • Clean, mop and use disinfectant throughout the day in all customer touchpoints. We keep track of our surface cleaning efforts, that take place at least every two hours, on publicly posted logs
  • Cleaning the steering wheel, door handles, and shift knobs of a client’s vehicle before it is moved and applying plastic covers on the client’s seats and steering wheel.
  • Any associate of ours that regularly comes into contact with our client’s vehicles is required to wear gloves.
  • Sanitizers are available in the customer lounge and service advisor stations.
  • Converting parts of our new vehicle showroom into a safe social distancing environment that allows our clients to relax at a safe distance from other patrons.
  • Limiting the number of sales clients that are allowed inside the dealership showroom space to a maximum of 10 people at any given time.
  • We have enhanced our “buy online” capabilities at mydanvillehonda.com and now offer free pick up and delivery.

 

Regarding our Employees:

 

Obviously, our hope is our associates continue to remain COVID-19 free; however, in the event that a member of our company does contract COVID-19, we are taking the following steps:

 

• The affected associate will not be allowed to come to work for a minimum quarantine period of 14 days and must be cleared of the virus via a federally approved kit or health professional.
• The individual work station/area will be closed off and not reopened until a complete sanitization has taken place.
• The associate will be assisted with compensation during the quarantine period.

• In the event that a person who works for our company believes they have been exposed to COVID-19 or that they are showing symptoms the following actions will be taken:
  • The associate will be restricted from coming to work until they have been cleared of COVID-19 by a federally approved test.

These are extraordinary times where none of our employees are spared from the hardships that downturn in business can bring which is why we are guaranteeing compensation to our associates and doing everything we can to avoid furloughs and layoffs. We don’t want any further hardships for our associates, their families or our community.

 

Regarding our Service and Parts Department:

 

• We have improved our online service scheduling system that allows for car rental and loaner reservations.
• We will pick up deliver your car for any service within a 10-mile radius.
• Our rental fleet can now be rented for half-day rentals at discounted rates
• Cleaning the steering wheel, door handles, and shift knobs of a client’s vehicle before it is moved and applying plastic covers on the client’s seats and steering wheel.
• Any associate of ours that regularly comes into contact with our client’s vehicles is required to wear gloves.
